要約:Asepsis and antisepsis constitute a set of procedures and protocols aimed at preventing infections and complications, especially in surgical centers. This study was conducted at the Divina Providencia Hospital in the city of San Lorenzo, Esmeraldas province. The objective was to develop an intervention plan for compliance with asepsis and antisepsis protocols and thus prevent postoperative infections. According to the research, a high prevalence of complications was evidenced due to the inadequate application of the protocols, in addition to a lack of knowledge among the staff working in this area. Therefore, it is proposed to implement an intervention plan for the correct application of the protocols, which will help improve both the physical and emotional state of patients. The implementation of this plan is justified by the need to prevent, reduce, minimize, or eliminate risk factors that could affect the health or life of patients.
