Izvleček:The versed investigation on the application of the Montessori Method by means of the modality of pedagogic shops to improve the learning of mathematics in the second initial education of the Mekanos shops located in the parish of “el Batán” in Quito city. The issue that guided the process of investigation thought about: how the Montessori Method powers the learning of mathematics in the second initial´s children education. The general objective that systematized the activities of investigation has as enunciated to analyze theoretically the Montessori Method for the learning of mathematics of the children of the second initial education of the infantile Mekanos shop in the “Batán” sector of Quito city, period 2015-2016. Among the method used are the inductive one, the analytic one and synthetic, modeling, descriptive statistic and illative; empiric methods like the observation, in the interviews, previous test, later exams and the Montessori methodology. Mainly Person correlation method was used to verify the effectiveness of the Montessori Method, the Initial Level Two, with a population of about 28 children. The main conclusions will then arrive in the research process conducted through workshops designed under this methodology; state that children of preschool two significantly improve the learning of mathematics, after experiencing the Montessori methodology
