| Sumari: | The ludic didactic strategies implemented in the development of the teaching-learning process generate the active participation of students, which has an impact on the significant improvement of their academic performance. For the execution of the research, the following objective was proposed: <<Improve the academic performance of students, through the implementation of playful didactic strategies that generate their active participation, in the development of the teaching-learning process of the subject of Natural Sciences, of tenth grade of BGE of "27 de febrero" High school>>; the method used was inductive; since, it began with the direct observation of the development of the classroom process, the low academic performance of students was evidenced due to various circumstances, which motivated the search of bibliographic sources to find alternative solutions to it. Regarding the approach, this is qualitative, characteristics were identified as: the lack of implementation of playful didactic strategies, little interactivity of the students in the development of the teaching-learning process, among others; according to the nature of the information it is a Participatory Action Research. During the whole process, the interaction of the researcher with the subjects of study was achieved through the development of the intervention proposal, thus improving the identified reality; as for the temporality, the research is transversal, since it was developed in a relatively short period of time. The results obtained through the application of evaluation and research instruments showed that the implementation of playful didactic strategies had a positive influence on the students' academic performance. In conclusion, with the implementation of playful didactic strategies in the development of the teaching-learning process of the Natural Science subject, the academic performance of the students improved significantly.
