Zusammenfassung:Fine motor skills refer to the dexterity and coordination of small muscles in wrists, hands, and fingers, which involves precise control to perform specific actions in daily and school activities that require coordination in handling objects and tools. For the development of this research, the objective was set to determine the impact of mixed painting on the improvement of fine motor skills in children aged 4 to 5 years from the Alonso de Mercadillo Basic Education School in the Loja city, during the period 2023-2024. The study was framed within a quasi-experimental design with a mixed approach and descriptive scope, using inductive-deductive methods. Additionally, the Preschool Education Portage Guide was used to collect data from a sample of twenty-four children. The initial evaluation revealed 29% at the achieved level and 71% at the initiated level, indicating difficulties in skills such as writing, cutting, tracing lines, and grasping small objects. After the application of the activity guide using the mixed painting technique, the final evaluation showed significant improvements, with 79% at the achieved level and 21% at the initiated level, demonstrating fine motor skills in the children. In conclusion, mixed painting not only functions as an artistic technique but also as a valuable pedagogical resource that enhances fine motor skills, effectively benefiting children aged 4 to 5 years, significantly contributing to strengthening coordination, dexterity, and precision in handling objects to successfully engage in daily activities.
