Summary:This research entitled "attachment and cognitive development: “EL APEGO Y DESARROLLO COGNITIVO DE LOS NIÑOS Y NIÑAS DE EDUCACIÓN INICIAL NIVEL II DE LA ESCUELA FISCAL MIXTA “PEDEMONTE MOSQUERA” DEL CANTÓN YACUAMBI, PROVINCIA DE ZAMORA, PERIODO LECTIVO 2014-2015”. LINEAMIENTOS PROPOSITIVOS proactive, had as scientific problem the following question: ¿How addiction affects the cognitive development of children from pre-school level II of the Fiscal School “Pedemonte Mosquera ", the canton Yacuambi, Zamora province, and period 2014-2015? So also it raised general objective determine the Attachment and Cognitive Development of Children Early Education Level II Fiscal Mixed "Pedemonte Mosquera" School Yacuambi Canton, Province of Zamora. The research was descriptive; methods that supported were: the scientific method, the analytic-synthetic, inductive and deductive statistical model. The technique and the instruments used, Observation Form applied to children to set the type of attachment and Cognitive tests to assess cognitive development in children skills. Based shows 12 children and one teacher education initial level II. The results show that 83 % of children have a secure attachment and 17% do not, 24% also show an avoidant attachment and 76% no, and 37% have an addiction show and Opposition 63 % do not. It can show that a significant percentage of Secure Attachment, so the application of testing cognitive skills, applied to children shows that the interpretation given, in a global context the 12 children, ie 100% the survey population can be determined that there is 71 % of the children if they have a good development of cognitive skills, and 29% does not demonstrate an acceptable level of skills. Noticing that there is a higher percentage who met the proposed activities because they have a good cognitive development.
