| Izvleček: | In the development of the teaching and learning process, the use of active didactic strategies contributes to the improvement of the academic performance of students. Thus, for the present curricular integration work, the objective was to promote the improvement of the academic performance of the students through the use of active didactic strategies, which motivate their participation in the teaching and learning process, in the subject of Chemistry I students of second year of baccalaureate, of La Dolorosa High school; academic period 2022 - 2023. The inductive method was used, through direct observation it was possible to identify the details of the learning environment, this allowed defining the problem; to then, through biographical research, propose possible solutions and develop them through the intervention proposal. The research corresponds to a qualitative approach, it allowed to determine relevant characteristics of the TLP such as the little participation and interest of the students, the monotony of the classes and the low academic performance. Likewise, according to the nature of the information, it is participatory action research. The researcher interacts directly with the study subjects, to generate changes in the reality of the educational environment. According to the temporal location it is a cross-sectional research; since, from the diagnosis to the discussion of results, it took place in a relatively short period of time. At the end of the intervention, research instruments were applied, obtaining positive results in strategies such as experimentation, explanatory - illustrative, learning by discovery, among others; which were more welcomed by the students; since, these allowed them to have an active participation in the TLP, build learning and therefore improve their academic performance. It is concluded that the improvement of the academic performance of the students is promoted by motivating their active participation in the development of the TLP, through the use of active didactic strategies.
