Aggiungi Tag | Riassunto: | The present research was developed with the purpose of determining the presence of Salmonella spp. In eggs from backyard hens, marketed at the main free trade shows in Loja, through the "3M Petrifilm Salmonella Express" System. A total of 216 eggs randomly grouped in 72 samples (each sample consisting of three eggs) were analyzed. To determine prevalences and their 95% confidence intervals, the EpiR package of the statistical program Sas University Edition 2016 was used, obtaining a prevalence of 0%, and a confidence interval (CI) of 0 to 6.02% for each 18 analyzed samples And 0%, and IC from 0 to 1.65% in 72 samples, despite poor sanitary management of the nests, storage, handling, transport and sale of eggs resulting in detrimental quality and even problems In public health (sufficient cause), and because there is no necessary cause this is the presence of the etiological agent, it was concluded that in none of the analyzed samples existed the presence of Salmonella spp. However, this study does not rule out the presence of Salmonella spp. In eggs marketed in the city of Loja so it is recommended to continue monitoring due to the hygienic-sanitary conditions in which they are marketed. |
