सारांश:The active methodological strategies applied in the development of the teaching-learning process, promote in students their interest and motivation to learn, which favors in them, the construction of learning and the consequent improvement of their academic performance; the objective of the present research was: "To enhance the academic performance of students through the application of active methodological strategies that allow to boost the teaching-learning process of the subject of Biology, in the second year of UGB, of "Daniel Álvarez Burneo" Educative Unit, during the academic year 2023-2024". The method used was inductive, from direct observation the problem of study was evidenced, which derived the search of bibliographic information oriented to propose alternative solutions for it; it has a qualitative approach, particularities of the classroom process were identified, such as: the few use of active teaching-learning strategies and techniques, the attitudes of the educational actors in the development of the process, the school environment, among others. According to the nature of information, it corresponds to a Participative Action Research. Through the development of the intervention proposal, the participation and interaction between the researcher and the students was promoted, with the purpose of strengthening their learning and improving their academic performance. According to the temporality, it is of a transversal type, it was executed in a relatively short period of time, from the diagnosis of the problem to the discussion. The results obtained determined that the active methodological strategies, such as: Visual thinking, challenge-based learning, explanatory-illustrative and information management, among others, encouraged the active participation of students in the development of the classroom process; therefore, it is concluded that the academic performance of students is enhanced through the application of active methodological strategies that energize the teaching-learning process of Biology.
