Итог:The general objective of this research was to describe the relationship between didactic strategies and the development of mathematical – logical thinking. It was part of a mixed approach that is, qualitative and quantitative. Its design was descriptive and not experimental by using the documentary review and the descriptive statistic method. To collect the information, the transfer technique was applied by means of a search log and content sheets. In addition, an observation sheet and a test were applied. The study sample included two Mathematics teachers and 85 students of the tenth year of Basic Education. The most relevant result indicates that teachers almost never applied didactic strategies un the classroom and a low level of mathematical – logical thinking was evident. In conclusion, there is no implementation of didactic strategies which does not allow students to generate cognitive skills.
