Summary:This thesis refers to: "MUSIC TEACHING STRATEGY AND ITS IMPACT IN BASIC EDUCATION FIRST YEAR CHILDREN´s AFFECTIVE DEVELOPMENT FROM POLYTECHNIC NURSERY GARDEN, RIOBAMBA CITY ON THE PERIOD 2013-2014”,It’s been structured according regulation of graduation in term of the Loja National University. The General Objective which was raised for this research was:Recognize the impact of music as didactic strategy and its influence on the children’saffective development of the first year of basic education of Polytechnic Nursery Garden, Riobamba City On The Period 2013-2014”, The methodology used for this research was formulated by the methods: scientist, inductive, deductive, analytical, synthetic, and statistical model. Techniques and instruments were: the survey to the students and teachers of the first year of basic education, in order to perceive their views related to the investigation of the incidence of music in affective development; Observation guide applied to children to assess learning in music education and the Test of the familywhich applied to the boys and girls high school, first grade with the purpose of recognizing the emotional level that have. With the analysis of the data obtained in the survey applied to the teachers, it is concluded that the 100% is agreed that music as a methodological strategy helps to improve the children’s emotional development in addition to musical stimulation activities promote such development. The results that were obtained from the observation guide concludes that 72% of children have a satisfactory average of activities, 27% will be located in a Regular average and just 1% in a rank deficient, noting the incidence of the use of music as a methodological strategy in the classroom as well. Of the Family Test applied tochildren are found to have an affective grade 100% positive to analyze the features of drawings made by the students took into account the individual analysis of each character value the affective development by student within the process in which it is immersed
