Description
Summary:Kidney diseases, have increased dramatically in recent years coming to be regarded as a public health problem, which did not discriminate against anyone, they make no distinction of age, gender, race, religion and social classes. In the clinical laboratory to evaluate kidney function is performed through the determination of the renal profile in blood and urine. Not having a subcenter laboratory in the health of the parish of Gualel, there have been no recorded cases of kidney disorders therefore has been deemed necessary for the present study, taking as objectives, quantify the values of urea and creatinine, identify proteinuria by urinalysis and finally relate the values of the renal profile with the age and sex. For which it was proposed a study of descriptive and cross-sectional, with a sample of 125 persons who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, methods used colorimetric and/or colorimetric-kinetic to quantify the values of urea, creatinine, and for the elemental urine microscopic (EMO) analysis was performed physical, chemical and microscopic respective. From this study it was concluded that 13% of the population showed elevated values of urea and creatinine, however in this same population was identified in the study of the proteinuria values were within the normal ranges. Finally it is important to know that the groups in which there is altered levels of urea and creatinine corresponds to the female sex with a 56% and the age group between 64 and more years with a 43 %.
