Validación de un prototipo de rodete de álabes curvados, como alternativa de acoplamiento para la bomba centrífuga de desagüe de una lavadora de ropa.

This work degree, it is done thinking about improving the performance of a centrifugal pump drain of a domestic washing machine, by building a prototype impeller blades curved as an alternative coupling for the pump whose original impeller is straight blades. He raised the overall aim of validation of said impeller prototype; for which testing was performed with the original impeller and a pump reciprocating type and the same operating conditions. In the development phase, initially the impeller design methodology was identified and then the necessary calculations were performed for a model with six curved blades, the same that was constructed by CNC technology. In the field phase and analysis of results we can deduce that the alternative impeller for best hydraulic characteristics, but as for this power requirement is greater, made due to various factors, the most important increase in mass produced by the existence of a greater number of vanes compared with the original impeller. Finally, another alternative impeller is sought, which was to build a five curved blades impeller with which the desired results are achieved; that is, a higher flow and greater discharge height with the same engine power of the original pump. In the chapter of results are presented in tables, data and proposed the original wheel rims with their characteristic curves, which were essential to establishing important conclusions and recommendations based on this research.
