Gaia:The didactic strategies implemented in the development of the Natural Sciences classroom process were made feasible through techniques and playful activities that encouraged the active participation of students, thus improving their academic performance. The objective was: << To improve the academic performance of students through the application of didactic and ludic strategies that motivate their active participation in the development of the teaching-learning process of Natural Sciences, in the eighth year of BGE, of the “Lauro Damerval Ayora” Educative Unit, academic year 2023-2024>>. For this research the inductive method was used, it began with direct observation of the classroom process, the limited implementation of playful teaching strategies was identified, which generates in students’ demotivation to participate in the TLP which causes their low academic performance. With the aim to look for relevant information, the intervention proposal was developed in order to improve the identified reality. The approach is qualitative, relevant aspects of the development of the TLP were characterized. According to the nature of the information, it corresponds to an Action-Participatory Research, during the development of the intervention proposal both the students and the researcher worked actively to solve the problem. According to the temporality, it is a transversal research. The results obtained show that the implementation of didactic strategies accompanied by ludic techniques and activities encourages the active participation of students in the development of the TLP and their academic performance improves significantly. It is concluded that the ludic didactic strategies implemented in the TLP of the subject of Natural Sciences allowed fostering the active participation of students and the construction of meaningful learning, thus enhancing their academic performance, which is evident in the contrast of students' grades before and after the intervention.
