| Gaia: | In the 21st century, Statistics is important for informed decision making and its teaching in education is essential, especially when digital tools such as Python are used to handle real data. Therefore, this research seeks to analyze the teaching process of Descriptive Statisties at the secondary level using open data managed with Python, for this a rigorous process of systematic documentary review was carried out, in articles, and book chapters. The search for information was carried out in scientific databases and search engines, the techniques for selection and organization were carried out by means of search logs, bibliographic and content files. Based on this theory, 6 workshops were developed as classes in a Fiscomisional institution in the city of Loja, where Descriptive Statistics topics were addressed using open data and Python, following a sequence of beginning (3 workshops), Development (2 workshops) and Closing (1 workshop), finally an instrument was applied to measure the level of satisfaction of the students. The results showed an adequate teaching process for this discipline and a high degree of satisfaction. Thanks to this, it was concluded that the students were satisfied, which implies that the use of the sequence of the 3 phases and the inclusion in the student to learn Descriptive Statistics Keywords: Digital tools, Statistical software, Applied statistics |
