Summary:This research deals with the theme "OVERPROTECTION AND ITS IMPACT ON THE LEARNING OF CHILDREN / AS FIRST YEAR OF BASIC EDUCATION SCHOOL "JUAN GELMAN" QUITO CITY PROVINCE PICHINCHA period 2014-2015". The central problem is focused on: What is the impact on learning overprotection of children / as first-year basic education school "JUAN GELMAN" of Quito Pichincha Province period 2014-2015? The general objective is: To know how the overprotection effects on the learning of children investigated. The methodology used in this research is the scientific method, inductive, deductive, analytical, synthetic and Statistical. The techniques applied were: Survey applied to parents to obtain the information we need and check overprotection in children / as First-Year Basic Education at "Juan Gelman" School. Observation Guide to assess the level of learning, children / as based on the axes and areas of learning according to the curriculum of Basic Education First Year The achieved results can be verified in the eight question survey to parents that 81% of parents help their children / as in schoolwork, not allowing them to fend for themselves. According to the results of the observation guide, it is found that 41% of boys / girls, have achieved the learning meanings; 38% of girls / os never join the group, nor participate in class activities alone, why is the group of children / as overprotected; and 21%, are in the process of joining the group to achieve significant learning.
