Итог:Cranioencephalic Trauma (CET) can lead to post-traumatic sequelae depending on the magnitude and extent of the intracerebral injury. This paper, entitled “Quality of life and its relantionship with post-traumatic sequelae in CET patients who attend the Isidro Ayora Loja Hospital”, aimed to identify the level of impact that post-traumatic sequelae have on the quality of life of the patients. The type of research was analytical-transversal. This study was conducted with the cooperation of post-traumatic CET patients who attended the Neurosurgery outpatient unit at the Isidro Ayora Loja Hospital during the months from April to September 2015, of which the majority were men (68%) aged between 17 and 26 years old (35%), of a elementary aducational level (47%) and single (39%). To determine whether a relationship exists between post-traumatic sequelae and quality of life, the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire was used. The results obtained were; a negative impact in terms of Domain 1 Physical health: attention deficit (19,13%) and post-traumatic epilepsy (18%). Domain 2 Physiological: post-traumatic epilepsy (22.06%), attention deficit (19.02%). Similar results were shown with different percentages in Domain 3 (24%) and (18%), and Domain 4 Environment (19.05%) and (15.87%) respectively. In a positive light, postconcussion syndrome returned results of (27.38%) to (43.24%). A significant statistical association between serious sequelae and poor quality of life was demonstrated by the results of p= 0.041. Moreover, an intervention plan was drawn up as a proposal for improving the quality of life. Keywords: cranioencephalic trauma, CET, post-traumatic sequelae, quality of life, rehabilitation.
