Resumo: | This research analyzed art therapy as a tool to promote emotional well-being in adolescents, presenting it as a therapeutic tool that facilitates the expression of the emotions, encouraging non-verbal communication and enhancing emotional and creative development. The general objective was to determine the scientific evidence of art therapy as a tool for emotional well-being in adolescence, and specific objectives were set such as identify the benefits and describing the art therapy techniques that promote emotional well-being in the adolescence, and an informative guide as psychological support was designed. The research adopted a qualitative approach, descriptive and explanatory in scope, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample involved seventeen scientific articles, in which 1,281 volunteer participants were investigated; the document analyzed came from repositories such as Dialnet, Redalyc, Scielo and Science Direct. The results showed that art therapy promotes emotional well-being, mainly through psycho-emotional and social benefits related to selfknowledge and improved communication, although a lesser impact was also found in physical and academic dimensions. It was identified that there is enough supporting the effectiveness of art therapy to improve emotional well-being in adolescents, however, it is recommended to expand the research to get more solid data and strengthen its application in future interventions |
