| Čoahkkáigeassu: | The lack of effective methods to teach the ovarian cycle in a practical way represents a challenge in medical education. In medical education, simulation has been used as an effective tool to bring students closer to professional activities without risk to patients. The objective of this research was to implement a simulation workshop based on ovarian cycle learning for ninth cycle medical students at the National University of Loja. A practical guide and an educational video were developed and disseminated to students in a practical workshop. The research design was descriptive quasiexperimental, prospective cross-sectional cohort. After the implementation of the workshop, an evaluation was conducted on the participating students. The results showed that the planning, execution, and dissemination of the educational resources, as well as the implementation of the workshop, contributed significantly to the development and reinforcement of knowledge in the students. It was concluded that the use of clinical simulation is an effective strategy to strengthen competencies in both theoretical and practical areas |
