總結:Endotracheal intubation is a standard technique performed in anesthetic practice with multiple advantages in selected patients; however, it is not a risk-free procedure. The postoperative laryngopharyngeal symptoms such as odynophagia, cough, dysphonia, and dysphagia, appear as most anesthesiologists as normal, are common in anesthetic practice. The purpose of this study was to identify the presence, intensity and associated factors of postoperative laryngopharyngeal symptoms in patients undergoing general anesthesia. It was a descriptive, prospective, quantitative and cross-sectional study that was developed in a population of 130 patients, who were operated in the surgery service of the Isidro Ayora General Hospital in the city of Loja, in 2018, the data were obtained using the Visual Analogic Scale for the measurement of pain, Numeric Scale for the measurement of cough, GRABS Scale for assessment of dysphonia and EAT-10 scale for assessment of dysphagia showing as results that the most frequent symptom is dysphonia with predominance of intensity S1 66,2% (n=86), the male sex of 18-30 years had a higher prevalence of symptoms 20% (n=27), with the surgical position in supine position 100% (n=130), time surgical 1-2 hours 53,8% (n=70) and classification of the physical state of the ASA II 46,2% (N=60) the most prevalent associated factors, meanwhile, the BMI ≥25 42,3% (n=55) and smoking 17,7% (n=23) do not affect directly in his presentation.
