Description
Summary:The objective of this Curricular Integration Work was to develop Psychopedagogical strategies based on ICTs, in order to improve learning of the reading and writing skills in students of the third grade A of Miguel Riofrio School. This research had a quantitative scope with a descriptive, applied, and cross-sectional approach. It had a quasi-experimental design. This research applied the Writing and Reading skills Analysis Test (T.A.L.E by its Spanish abbreviation) to a sample of 5 students. The results obtained in the pre-test regarding the levels of reading and writing skills were the following: in reading letters, 60% of participants showed a lower level than the minimum; in reading syllables, spelling and copying, 40% were at a lower level than the minimum. After the execution of the proposal, based on ICTs as strategies, the psychopedagogical results of the post-test showed the following results: in reading letters, 60% showed an intermediate level; in reading syllables, 60% reached a higher level; and finally in spelling and copying, 60% were at a level above the minimum. It is concluded that after applying the intervention, the students managed to reach intermediate and higher levels in the writing and reading skills, inferring that ICTs used as a psychopedagogical strategy, improved the learning of those skills in children with this difficulty.
