要約:Solar cookers are one of the best choices with respect to clean energy. However, how to use them is not very well-known in our society and for this reason many people are ignorant as to how they work. Solar cookers are a CO2-free alternative, but throughout history there has been a lot of models and designs, all with the aim of obtaining a more efficient solar cooker, because efficiency is one of the disadvantages of solar cooking compared to other stoves. This thesis project has been carried out in order to improve efficiency, so the solar cooker built in one single body will be useful for further work carried out by the National University of Loja within the Department of Energy, Industry and Non-Renewable Natural Resources. For the design of this stove, prototypes previously implemented at the National University of Loja, have been considered, as the principle is the same. For its construction, malleable based materials were sought to shape the desired parabola. As we are aware, a parabola solar cooker is more efficient than a solar box cooker, but their construction is more complex, and up until now the University hasn’t been able to construct one and has only built parabolic cookers in segments or parts. For the reflective surface, various surface finishes that were both available and within budget which could be used were analyzed. A cost-benefit analysis, took into consideration two finishes for the reflective surface of the stove: one was chrome and the other a polyurethane paint whose color gave off most reflectivity.
