| Summary: | Curricular adaptations for visual impairment encourage the inclusion and active participation of students with this condition in the learning environment. In this sense, the application of didactic material according to these needs, promotes in them the interest and motivation to participate in the teaching and learning process, improving their academic performance. The present Curricular Integration Work aims to enhance the academic performance of students with visual disabilities, through the application of relevant didactic material, according to the curricular adaptations defined for the teaching and learning process of the Biology subject in the second year of Baccalaureate. During the research, the inductive method was used, based on observation to detect the problem to be searched. Likewise, it corresponds to a qualitative approach since, through the investigation, it was possible to perceive the lack of curricular adaptations and relevant didactic material. On the other hand, according to the nature of the information, it is of the Participatory Action Research type; due to the fact that, through the development of the research, the researcher and the students under study are active agents for the improvement of the identified reality. In addition, it is of a transversal type because from the diagnosis to the discussion of results, it was developed in a certain time. The results obtained show that the documents in braille and the models in high relief generated greater interest in the students, establishing the improvement of their academic performance. In this way, it is concluded that the curricular adaptations and the relevant didactic material improve the teaching and learning process of Biology; since it allows visually impaired students to develop sensory perception skills and increases their level of comprehension, improving their academic performance.
