總結:The research paper entitled: The story as methodological strategy to enhance development of reading in the Upper Basic level students, the College of Bachelor Rafael Rodríguez Palacios, Malacatos Parish, Canton and Province of Loja. Academic period 2014-2015, it proposed as general objective: To analyze the story as a methodological strategy to enhance development of reading in students of the high school before mencioned. The methods used in the development of the research were: the scientific method, deductive-inductive method and the analytic synthetic method, so the techniques used to gather information consisted of the survey to students and interview teachers, and technical bibliographic. Everything analyzed and presented in this research we can conclude that the story used as a methodological strategy if it helps promote the development of reading, as this literary form has the necessary features and above all, useful for this purpose, its brevity and depth lend to it, nodding to arouse more love of reading activities that also favor the collective involvement of all students; therefore it allow to recommend the implementation of this genre in the educational event taking relevance of the assistance provided it, to improve both the teaching- learning process of literature, communication skills, and finally the development of reading literacy
