Sumario:The research was intended to use the BALANCE AS VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE FOR THE LEARNING OF LINEAR EQUATIONS. The objective of the research process was raised in the following manner using the virtual balance as an educational resource for the learning of linear equations. Research responded to a descriptive design (diagnosis) and quasi- experimental. The methods that were used in their order were the following: understanding, diagnosis, modeling, application and assessment of the effectiveness of the use of the virtual balance as an educational resource for the learning of linear equations. In this investigation concludes as follows: The student; he became acquainted with the heavy objects in the virtual balance and with this was unable to interpret a linear equation, resolved equations with positive integer quantities through the virtual balance using the properties of equivalence of equations and solve linear equations, with negative integer quantities, through the virtual balance using the properties of equivalence of linear equations. The main finding, deficiencies or cognitive needs present in the learning of linear equations, can be reduced or mitigated with the implementation of the virtual balance: The teacher of the educational institution must seek new methodological strategies for directing the teaching-learning process which incorporates the use of information and communication technologies (TIC), The student must make use of the virtual balance and other technological resources to seek to improve their learning about the elements that make up a linear equation and the educational institution should carry out the steps in the respective zonal education address number 7, with the desire to find improvements in the institution, to adapt a better computer lab.
