In chapter one, basic concepts of hypermedia, its importance and the advantages in building hypermedia systems they are provided. A study of other object-oriented technologies with greater emphasis on Java language that will be used later in the development stage of the system is performed. This also has carried out a study has UML Language, which consists of different diagrams, allowing them to advance at different stages of project development. Finally an overview of the new XML standard for describing and exchanging data in the document generation is provided.
