Estudio de la combinación de la liberadora de ganadotropinas Vs. estradiol en protocolos de inseminación artificial a tiempo fijo en el cantón Palanda.

This research was carried out in Valladolid parish, Zamora Chinchipe Province, using 10 female bovines, Brown Swiss breed, which are clinically healthy and in a reproductive age. To evaluate the reproductive efficiency of two estrus synchronization protocols to artificial insemination, using a fully randomized design with 2 treatments and 5 replays, so the following variables were analyzed: Index of animals in heat, conception and cost per pregnant cow index. Treatment one (P4 + BE + Pgf2a + BE) presented a total of 80% of animals with obvious signs of heat. Meanwhile, treatment two (P4 + BE + Pgf2a + GnRH) got 40%. The rate of conception and pregnancy, treatment one reached 80% and 40% for the treatment two, in which no statistical difference was found between treatments. In the variable of the return to post estrus IATF index, within 18-24 days, it was gotten 20% in both treatments. Going back to post estrus IATF during the days 18 and 19 , it was not identified significant statistic difference among treatments. . In the parameter cost per pregnant cow, was determined that treatment one presents a singly cost of $58.5 and cost by pregnant cow $73,125. as treatment two got an individual cost of $65.1 and cost by pregnant cow $162,75. Identifying treatment one as the most profitable, protocol that shows other desirable features as a higher rate of estrus, being the most effective in terms of the percentage of pregnancy.
