PERIODO ACADÉMICO 2015-2016, was raised as a general objective: To determine the influence of horror story as a methodological strategy to enhance the acquisition of macro skill by reading in Superior Basic level students, from the investigated school. The methods used were: scientific, descriptive, analytic-synthetic and inductive-deductive, that contributed throughout the investigation process. The techniques used were the literature and survey; and the instrument was the surveys were applied. The result was that reading horror stories is liked by students, therefore, promotes reading, likewise, it causes certain psychological effects that engages the learner with the history of this subgenre. The main conclusion refers that the horror story has the attention of students, using certain elements of terror as puzzles, ghosts or other elements that are part of the story, and for this reason, the learner is motivated by reading this literary genre. Therefore, the main recommendation is that the institution plan with parents and students reading workshops, related horror story, with the aim that students become more familiar with reading and be provided with the understanding of the text study. |
