| סיכום: | The present study investigates assertive communication in students pursuing pedagogical careers, assessing levels of assertiveness, indirect assertiveness, and non-assertiveness based on student perceptions, adapting the Multidimensional Assertiveness Scale – EMA. Raw scores were converted to linear T scores for each factor of the EMA Scale following Flores and Díaz's Manual (2004). The study involved 401 students from pedagogical programs at the Faculty of Education, Arts, and Communication at the National University of Loja. It is concluded that, in indirect assertiveness and non-assertiveness, levels in the middle range predominate. However, there is a tendency to have difficulties with assertive communication, particularly concerning the expression of feelings, emotions, and ideas. Consequently, in the assertive profile of students in pedagogical careers, high levels of assertive communication development are not identified, with a trend towards lower levels being highlighted.
