ACADEMIC PERIOD 2014-2015; It was proposed as a general objective: to verify through an investigation the influence of the Juvenile Literature as a strategy to enhance the knowledge in the students of the Higher Basic Level of the investigated institution. The methods that were used to carry out the research were the following: scientific, descriptive, analytical-synthetic, and inductive-deductive, each applied in its field of study. The techniques that were applied were the bibliographical and the survey directed to students, and teachers, whereas the instruments that were used were the bibliographical form and the structured questionnaire. Among the most significant results, it was possible to show that the juvenile literature as a strategy affects reading, which allows the student to enhance their reading comprehension, so it is concluded that students of the basic level have performed comprehensive reading exercises through Of juvenile literature rarely, since the teachers of Language and Literature use the juvenile literature as a strategy only sporadically to encourage reading comprehension; So it is recommended that teachers make constant use of reading Juvenile Literature to teach their classes, so that students can enhance their knowledge. |
