Sažetak:The Narcisa mine establishes its production operations since 2013, through the subway mining system, using the method of chambers and pillars with a variant of "Sublevel Stoping" and by upward cut and fill; it is located in the southwestern part of the parish La Victoria, belonging to the Macará Canton, province of Loja and the mineral benefit process is carried out in Portovelo, in the El Pache sector. Describing the mine interior infrastructure, it does not have adequate support, in addition, the ventilation system used is natural and sometimes by compressed air, currently its biggest challenge is the rapid evacuation of blasting gases, consequently the performance of operations is not optimal or required, transmitting these shortcomings to its staff. On the other hand, the lack of topographic, geological and geotechnical control added to the absence of mining planning, makes the work done obsolete and economically detrimental to the mining company. This work is based on the concern of the administrative personnel to carry out a study to improve the selectivity of the production operations and continue mining for the extraction of ore, taking into account the establishment of optimal working conditions in which stand out a good ventilation of the workings, a good support, which must be subject to technical requirements that comply with the respective regulations and parameters of safety and occupational health. In this context, a geological-geotechnical study is necessary to determine the ideal place to develop the construction of chimney 240, to supply clean air in quality and quantity according to the needs of the company, taking into account the personnel, equipment and production efficiency.
