الملخص:Energy efficiency is paramount in contemporary society due to its significant economic and environmental repercussions. This thesis presents a comprehensive model for the Universidad Nacional de Loja (UNL) aimed at modernizing its public lighting system to enhance energy consumption efficiency and promote environmental sustainability. The project was executed in three distinct phases. Initially, the data was gathered regarding the types of lighting fixtures and their power consumption at the central campus of UNL, located in La Argelia sector of the city and province of Loja. Based on the collected data, an algorithm uses the Iluplus system, which is designed for the management and administration of public lighting systems, was developed. Furthermore, the proposal includes the replacement of existing luminaires with more efficient alternatives. Lastly, a dashboard for data visualization was created to display all the derived results. The dashboard facilitates the visualization of information for each luminaire currently installed in the UNL La Argelia, alongside with the proposed algorithm based on the Iluplus system. The modernization of public lighting at UNL represents an innovative initiative that is expected to significantly enhance energy efficiency, foster environmental sustainability, and improve the overall university environment.
