要約: | Lifestyle and cardiovascular risk share similarities that are very important in the onset and development of chronic degenerative diseases. The aim of this study was to determine the lifestyle and cardiovascular risk in patients attended at the Type A Health Center of the Sindicato Provincial de Choferes de Loja during the period October 2021 - March 2022, to characterize the study population in terms of age, gender and diagnosed diseases, to identify lifestyles according to dimensions, to estimate cardiovascular risk and to establish the relationship between lifestyle and cardiovascular risk in the referred study group. It was a quantitative, descriptive, observational, prospective, cross-sectional cohort study conducted on 117 individuals aged 40 to 75 years who met all the inclusion criteria. The results showed that 61.55% were men, 35.05% corresponded to the age group 40-49 years, 28.21% had endocrine disorders of nutrition and metabolism, 49. 58% were identified as having a good lifestyle, 49.59% had a low cardiovascular risk and 50.41% were divided into moderate, high and very high cardiovascular risk, especially over the age of 60 years, and finally we found a correlation coefficient of -0.35, meaning an inversely significant correlation between lifestyle and cardiovascular risk of the participants. In conclusion, the majority were male, between 40 and 49 years of age, and the most common diseases were those of the endocrine glands of nutrition and metabolism. Half of them had a good lifestyle, most of them had a cardiovascular risk, especially after the age of 60 years old, and there was an inverse significant correlation between lifestyle and cardiovascular risk, meaning that with a low quality of life there was a very high cardiovascular risk |
