Čoahkkáigeassu:The present curricular integration work aimed to analyze the relationship between the basic cognitive processes of attention and memory and reading comprehension in first- cycle students of the Accounting and Auditing career. The research counted with a quantitative, of descriptive type, correlational and transversal approach, with a non- experimental design. The instruments used were the d2 Test to evaluate attention, the RIAS test Subscale for memory, and the ICLAU for reading comprehension in a sample of 32 students. The results indicated that in the attention those evaluated obtained 90.63% by locating in a low level, 3.13% showed a medium level, while 6.25% reached a high level. With respect to memory, 34.3% showed a low level, 46.8% reached a medium level, and 18.7% achieves a high level. Finally, in reading comprehension, 50% shows a low level, while the 15.6% a medium level, and 34.3% a high level. Kendall's Tau-b was employed to determine the correlation between these variables and Pearson's non- parametric coefficient for their interpretation. The correlation with attention obtained a Kendall's Tau-b value of -0.289, being of medium negative magnitude, whereas the memory correlation reached a Kendall's Tau-b value of 0.016, with a weak positive magnitude. It is concluded that the null hypothesis is accepted in the first correlation and the alternative is rejected, while in the other correlation, the alternative is accepted and the null is rejected.
