The flower industry has been one of the most dynamic sectors in the 80 years and 90 in Ecuador and is it main market is the foreign one. Cayambe has been one of the areas where most impact has this activity. In one hand it has generated jobs for the economically active population of the area and the community. But in the other hand, in the course of time it has generated social, cultural, political and environmental changes in the commune, as in ancient agriculture, lifestyles, cultural values, knowledge and ancestral knowledge of the population. |
