要約:The purpose of this investigation is to demonstrate the configuration of social networks and perceived social support of the elderly group "Salud y Vida". It is an exploratory and descriptive study using quantitative methodology through the application of Escala de Redes de Apoyo Social para Adultos Mayores (ERASAM), and Social Support Questionnaire of Medical Outcomes Study (MOS); instruments that facilitated the description of the network configuration: size, density, types of support, satisfaction and social support perception. The final results show that the range and the frequency of contact are wider and higher in the informal family network than in the informal extra family network and formal institutional network, however, the frequency of contact is higher in the formal institutional network than in the informal extrafamiliar network. The informal familiar network is the most important network providing emotionally, materially and tools support while information support; this support comes from the formal institutional network mainly. There is greater satisfaction in informal family network than informal extra family network and formal institutional network, regarding to the received support. The global rate of the social support perception of the elderly is high
