要約:The objective of this research is to analyze the impact of tourism promotion for the generation of economic growth within the hotel, gastronomy, and transportation businesses in the Santa Rosa canton located in the province of El Oro, through methodological tools both from the survey and the bibliographic compilation, the existing problems around tourism within the canton were identified, and the strategies that have been implemented by the local government. Santa Rosa has a great variety of tourist attractions, but because of the problems generated around this economic sector due to the pandemic, there was a decrease in demand in this market, so through tourism promotion we seek to encourage and promote the growth of entrepreneurs dedicated to tourism in the locality. Local businesses in the hospitality sector, gastronomic and transportation sites must adapt to the new tourism promotion strategies of the digital era, where it was identified that the generation of content through social networks helped to stimulate the demand for tourist attractions that exist within the canton of Santa Rosa.
