Sažetak:The current work was taken to effect in the hothouse of the experimental farm "San Pablo" of the Ability of Agricultural Sciences, technical University of Babahoyo in the Km, 7 ½ via Montalvo in the city of Babahoyo-Ecuador. The main objective was to determine the cannibal capacity of the larvas of S. frugiperda in corn and to evaluate the daily percentage of damage under controlled conditions. Masses of eggs of the insect were gathered then in cultivations of corn and overgrowths it took them to the laboratory, once happened the appearance the obtained larvas were placed in the plants of corn with the cover according to the treatments, they were placed between 1 and 10 larvas by plant. The design was used totally at random, with ten treatments and four repetitions, he/she was the number of larvas daily until I am one for recipient or until the survivors arrived to the pustule state, the daily percentage of damage was also evaluated by plant, this process repeated in two occasions. According to the obtained results you determines that to the 9 days of permanency of S. frugiperda under controlled conditions the percentage of cannibalism was of 100 % in the first one and second phase. The larvas of this species under conditions controlled puparon in their entirety among 11y 15 days. It was also determined that to the 12 and 11 days of permanency of S. frugiperda under controlled conditions the percentage of damage was of 84.75 % in the first rehearsal phase and of 84 % in the second phase respectively.
