Description
Summary:This research deals with the influence of efficient microorganisms on the production of banana cultivation (Musa AAA) in Ecuador. The indiscriminate use of agrochemicals added to bad agricultural practices, form an important role in the process of soil degradation, contamination of aquifers, mineralization of organic matter, affecting the chemical and physical composition of soils, the frequent use of herbicide fungicides and fertilizers affects the nutritional value of bananas. Efficient microorganisms (EM), are presented as an alternative that combines beneficial microorganisms (yeasts, photosynthetic bacteria, lactic acid bacteria, actinomycetes and filamentous fungi with fermenting capacity), to increase the efficiency of organic matter as fertilizer in order to improve the chemical, physical and biological properties of soils, which promote seed germination, root growth, favor flowering, better absorption of nutrients, in addition to suppressing phytopathogenic agents causing diseases in banana cultivation.
