| Резюме: | In the present bibliographic review it is necessary to apply essential nutrients in the cultivation of Coffee (Coffea arabica L.), in Ecuador. Coffee cultivation is demanding in potassium, the production and quality of the fruit is related to this nutrient, being necessary to complement it with another source and thus have nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in balance. The conclusions determine that nitrogen is the most important element in the development of the plant and the fruit, giving a condition of vigor and "freshness" to the coffee trees; it is the element that gives a faster and more constant response in coffee production, while nitrogen is required by the plant in a high quantity, so it is necessary to return it to the soil through fertilizer; Phosphorus contributes enormously to the formation of roots in the first stages of growth of the coffee tree (nursery stage and in the first two years of establishment in the field). It is part of the molecules that transport energy in the plant; it intervenes in the formation of the reproductive organs of the floral structure and in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins; plays an important role in the assimilation of Nitrogen; Potassium is present in the process of growth and ripening of fruits; it also influences yields; grain quality and resistance to pests and droughts and it is important to apply magnesium in coffee trees, since if there is a deficiency it causes yellow spots between the ribs. |
