Summary: | In the present study aimed to examine the application of four and an organic chemical insecticides for control of leafminer (Liriomyza huidobrensis ) in the pea crop variety in the field located Quantum Delight Region Montufar, Carchi in the geographic coordinates 77° 54 '47 "east longitude and 00° 28' 17" north latitude to 2,960 m, in order to establish population levels of larvae (Liriomyza huidobrensis ), assess the damage caused by the leafminer, determine the most effective dose of chemical and organic insecticides to control leaf miner in pea and economically analyze treatments. We used randomized complete block (RCBD) with six treatments and four replicates with a total of 24 experimental units. The total area of the experiment was 740.60 m2, the experiences of 18.90 m2 plot, 9 m2 useful area, the distance between roads and repeats 1 m. Variables were evaluated: Mines with live larvae, insecticide efficacy, mines with dead larvae, leaf-level damage, plant height, days to flowering, weight of a hundred pods, green pod yield. All variables were subjected to analysis of variance and to determine the statistical difference between treatment means, we used the Tukey test at 5% level. It was determined that: The insecticide Cyromazine had the highest percentage of efficiency achieved significant results compared to the control, insecticide treatments influenced higher performance compared to the control pods, while plant height, days to flowering and pod weight of 100 there were no differences compared to the control, with insecticide treatments economic profit was achieved between 31 to 42 % where the witness was 33 %. |
