Résumé:With the passing of years technology has been taking over our world with new inventions that automate different processes, which have been done manually and for this reason have taken a long time in the realization of them. Public and private institutions at some point have seen the need to opt for the acquisition of technology, for the automation of different processes, to safeguard the information or necessarily to provide a better service to their end users, this in turn helps to be a more competitive institution in the field in which they work. The institution of higher education Babahoyo Technical University over the years has seen the need to adopt computer systems capable of performing multiple tasks facilitating daily work and improving interaction with the university community. A web application was developed for the automation of the electoral processes of the Technical University of Babahoyo in its categories: rector, vice-rectors, teaching representatives, student representatives, representatives by the graduates and representatives by the workers. Of which the representatives are chosen to be part of the university council and directive council of faculties. These electoral processes are carried out through independent voting, according to the Electoral Regime Regulations of the Technical University of Babahoyo.
