| Summary: | Currently the poultry production sector presents an increase in its growth rate, this due to the fact that the population's consumption requires a meat that is quickly produced, This experimental work was carried out at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences from the Technical University of Babahoyo, aimed to evaluate oregano essential oil levels of 0.5 and 1.0 ml, per liter of water. They were designed completely at random, with the application of three treatments and four repetitions. The size of each experimental unit was 16 chickens, with a total of 192 broilers. To obtain data, you will find the InfoStat 20188e program. The variables evaluated were: weekly average weight, mortality, food consumption, feed conversion and Cost-cost benefit. With the addition of one centimeter of oregano oil (T2) added in the drinking water up to 28 days of age of the broilers at the sixth week, average weights of 2,661.68 grams were obtained. The variable feed conversion in T2 was 1.70 and the mortality percentage 1.2 lower than treatments one and control. The cost benefit was similar in treatments one and two (1, 16; 1.16). |
