Summary:The case study, Traditional games and their impact on the learning of the children of initial education of the Educational Unit "City of Montalvo" of the canton Montalvo, was evidenced to promote and strengthen the traditional games that go from generation to generation, which They have lost the different technologies that we use today, the child for using the cell phone, Tablet, TV, does not interact with the people around him, he loses the interest of the game. Remember that the playful part in the infant is important because they learn to share, to live with their peers, to respect the turn and help the development of their skills, putting into use the imagination of the child. In this way the preschool children are predisposed to abide by and execute norms that the teacher imparts, the objective of this project is to put into practice the knowledge already acquired to develop the child's cognitive faculties. The results of this research are intended to demonstrate the importance of the use and implementation of traditional games in the teaching-learning process. Using as a research technique the Direct Observation and for the collection of additional information a survey directed to the teacher of the preschool of said institution. In the results obtained thanks to the survey applied to the teacher shows that there are still children with lack of interest in traditional games and more than that teachers of the same institution who are not using these traditional games as teaching strategy to teach their classes
