الملخص:Spontaneous abortions have an incidence of 22% in pregnant women, therefore, obstetric complications that are constantly associated with mortality and mobility. Worldwide, 45% of abortions per year determine that 97% of these abortions are clandestine, which can lead to death due to obstetric complications. The main objective of this study is to establish the gyneco-obstetric risk factors associated with spontaneous abortion in pregnant women of the Basic Hospital of Canton El Carmen-Manabí, May-September 2019; A descriptive, observational and non-experimental study was performed, the unit of analysis was the clinical history, the instrument was a database prepared in Excel with the study variables, the sample consisted of 127 patients who were treated at the Basic Hospital of the Canton El Carmen, with the diagnosis of spontaneous abortion associated with gyneco-obstetric risk factors; in the results obtained from the analysis of the clinical history, it is emphasized that the reason for attending the consultation was transvaginal bleeding with 37% followed by hypogastric pain with a 29% presenting; As main factors, most of the patients were multigests with 57% of the various patients were recurrent abortions. 48% of pregnant women did not attend prenatal control, 53% suffered persistent vaginal infections. It was concluded that the risk factors associated with a spontaneous abortion with greater frequency, is the age between 24-32 years, patients who do not use family planning, with higher incidence incomplete abortions, a pregnancy situation <12 weeks and as a complication Hemorrhages
