Sumari:The neonatal abstinence syndrome, to the health problems group that the neonate experiences after having been exposed to substance, must know the signs and symptoms that he has presented to assess his condition. The problems experienced by the newborn after being exposed to drugs during pregnancy caused by opioid intake showed manifestations of irritability, vomiting, diarrhea and diaphoresis, so these neonates require specific nursing care for all those who have withdrawal symptoms. The present clinical case deals with the process of nursing care provided to these, for which the nursing assessment of Marjory Gordon was carried out, which allows the nurses to perform those functions that are proper to us, this structuring is carried out by means of a very useful tool that is the Nurse Process. Valuation is the first phase of this process, and the basis of the others. To know the state in which it is received and left to a neonate patient; using the clinical file, the observation and the clinical exploration, we identify the altered needs, in order to correct the dysfunctional patterns of the patient, through nursing assessment and interventions
