Paciente de sexo femenino de 11 años de edad con parálisis cerebral infantil

This document details the research and development of a case study in an 11-year-old female patient with a medical diagnosis of Child Cerebral Palsy, syndrome produced by an injury or alteration of a non-progressive nature and of etiological diversity that have repercussions on the formation of an immature brain and that its affectation causes anomalies of tone, posture, movement, emotional, ocular and sensory deficiencies. Cerebral Palsy is one of the first causes of disability during the first years of life. Its diagnosis is complex because symptoms such as: present archaic reflexes, involuntary movements and postural alterations, are not observed during the first months of life and are often confused with anomalies in the base of the skull, medullary tumors, etc. Cerebral Palsy has no cure, but if it requires the approach of a multidisciplinary and dynamic team, the variability of existing clinical manifestations is proportional to the group of specialists needed, the main objective is to reduce muscle spasticity, minimize associated disorders and therefore improve quality of life in children with cerebral palsy. The research methodologies used in the present case study are: patient's clinical history, neurological anamnesis, assessment by functional patterns, laboratory analysis and imaging tests, guidelines that help interpret and elaborate the Nursing Care Process (PAE) with neurological approach.
