總結:Cirrhosis is the final stage of any chronic liver disease. It is characterized by hepatic fibrosis, which leads to the destruction of the normal structure of the liver. Functional liver tissues are destroyed and replaced by regenerative nodules, without restoring liver functions. It can also be caused by inflammation or damaged and necrotic liver cells, leading to liver dysfunction. Due to this, the increase in nutritional requirements requires the body to supplement this need, causing the deterioration of the nutritional status. This disease has a high incidence of mortality worldwide, especially in males due to excessive alcohol consumption. This case study is based on a 39-year-old patient with liver cirrhosis, associated with excessive alcohol consumption for several years, this being much more frequent since 6 months ago. Including family history of Parkinson's disease and diabetes, clinical severity, and laboratory abnormalities. Currently, the objective is to improve the disease, designing a nutritional feeding plan for the patient, adequately providing the necessary nutrients and thus being able to minimize underlying complications. The patient was assessed using anthropometric, biochemical, clinical and dietary methods, showing that he is at risk of low weight, the presence of mild to moderate ascites and moderate edema. Therefore, providing a comprehensive treatment based on the correct calories and proteins is essential.
