Тойм: | VIII. SUMMARY The present research work was carried out in the premises of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo, located at km. 7,5 of the Babahoyo-Montalvo road. The geographic coordinates in UTM were X: 1,7723946; Y: 79,7102593. The zone presents a humid tropical climate, with a temperature that oscillates between the 24 and 26 ° C, with relative humidity of 88 %, annual average precipitation of 1262 mm, with height of 8 msnm and 990 hours of heliophany of annual average. The genetic material used was janeiro grass seedlings (Erioclhoa Polystachya), irradiated at 52 Gy of gamma rays (60 Co). The treatments consisted of 1 a genetic material with a level of irradiation that are: 52 and a non-irradiated control 0 Gy. Data analysis techniques were used to estimate the average, arithmetic mean, range of variation, standard deviation (SD) and the coefficient of variation (CV). All the necessary agricultural work was carried out for its normal development, such as sowing, irrigation, weed control and phytosanitary control. To estimate the effects of the treatments, the following data were taken: height of the plant, stem diameter, number of knots per plant, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, chlorophyll day of flowering. Based on the results obtained, it was possible to determine that there were no marked morphological differences between individuals evaluated from pasture Janeiro, since the evaluated variables did not exceed the CV> 50% variability coefficient. It was detected that there was a correlation between the variables: number of leaves and knots at 90 days after being evaluated with plant height at 90 days (r = 0,68, p <0,00029) and (r = 0,62; p <0,0012) respectively. Similarly, it was evidenced that there was a correlation between leaf area at 60 dds with leaf length at 60 dds (r = 058, p <0,0032) among the most important. The analysis of the evaluated descriptors will contribute significantly to the identification of this species from the janeiro grass (Erioclhoa polystachya) irradiated to 52 Gy of gamma rays. |
