Today pig farming maintains a great reception in the market, thus having a pig production of 1,831,061 heads of pigs, which seek to update themselves on the issue of feeding systems that use resources available in the sector, such as: cane and its by- products, including juice; a viscous and opaque...

description Today pig farming maintains a great reception in the market, thus having a pig production of 1,831,061 heads of pigs, which seek to update themselves on the issue of feeding systems that use resources available in the sector, such as: cane and its by- products, including juice; a viscous and opaque compound, basically energetic that maintains 73% water, 16% fiber, 24% solids, comprising 75% sugars such as sucrose and other salts, with very low or almost zero protein levels; which has led many scholars of the subject to implement this compound in the diets of their growing pigs. The present research documents the effect that cane juice (Saccharum officinarum) maintains on the productive parameters of pigs in the growth stage, exposing an energy alternative for pig feeding; by analyzing the nutritional values of cane juice and identifying its effect on the productive parameters of pigs. A documentary and bibliographic technique was carried out; based on University documents and scientific articles, detecting that there is ideal weight gain in pigs fed concentrated diets in conjunction with cane juice and protein supplements of 8% (741g/day) and protein levels of 32% (836g/day); it is necessary to raise awareness among producers about the benefit of applying cane juice in the diet of their pigs in the growth stage, mentioning that it must be complemented with products that maintain high levels of protein to meet the needs that cane juice fails to complete. It is proposed that for future studies a bromatological analysis of the variety of sugar cane found in our environment be carried out and the effects of cane juice on the specific productive parameters of the growth stage will be evaluated experimentally.
