| Sumari: | The research indicates the active development methodology allows meaningful learning; Here the student is the protagonist of their own learning and the teacher, facilitator of this process. To promote the development of skills takes place developed personal or group activities like tasks, develop critical thinking, creative thinking and effective communication; it was proposed to analyze the contribution of active methodology in reading comprehension. The research work is exploratory, descriptive and explanatory type, applied to a sample of 10 teachers and 68 students of higher basic surveys were applied, obtaining the following conclusions have reading habits, parents do not supervise the work at home little motivation and reflection used in the reading process, have ideas difficult to extract the text, read and re-read to understand and memorize, little interpretive and argumentative ability, do not recognize the importance of ideas and can not order sequences. It is recommended to implement strategies within the reading through motivation, criticality, creativity, imagination, create reading habits, develop educational innovations, apply levels of reading, application of teaching resources, train teachers in strategies, techniques and processes |
